2019 Ram 1500 Classic to Offer Legacy Styling Alongside New Pickup

By Justin Cupler | June 28th, 2018

The 2019 Ram 1500 pushes our favorite pickup truck’s styling to a new level, but some people are suckers for the past. Ram realizes this and announced it will give buyers more time to enjoy the outgoing pickup truck’s styling with the 2019 Ram 1500 Classic.

The 2019 Ram 1500 Classic, which the truck manufacturer will internally call the “DS,” will be available throughout the rest of the 2018 calendar year. We will offer the Ram 1500 Classic for sale alongside the all-new 2019 Ram 1500. It will be available in four trims: Tradesman, Express, Big Horn/Lone Star, and SSV. The Ram 1500 Classic will also feature plenty of cab and bed configurations to meet various needs, including a regular cab with a 8-foot or 6-foot 4-inch bed, a quad cab with a 6-foot 4-inch bed, and a crew cab with a 5-foot 7-inch or 6-foot 4-inch bed.

The 2019 Ram 1500 Classic will retain all the items that made it one of the top-selling pickups in the U.S., including its refined ride from its coil-spring suspension and the innovative RamBox, but it will gain three new packages. The Chrome Plus package on the Tradesman trim will include chrome bumpers, a body-colored upper front fascia, 17-inch wheels, keyless entry, and carpeted floors. The Tradesman SXT package will add chrome bumpers, a body-colored front fascia, a 5-inch audio system, fog lights, dual exhaust on V-8 models, and 20-inch chrome wheels to the Tradesman trim. Finally, the Express Black Accent Package will add black wheels, headlight bezels, and badging to the Express trim.

The 2019 Ram 1500 Classic will have three engine options: 3.6-liter V-6, 5.7-liter HEMI V-8, and 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6. It will also have standard two-wheel drive and optional four-wheel drive.

The Ram 1500 Classic will be on our showroom here at Garber Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in the fourth quarter of 2018. Until then, you can check out our existing lineup of 2018 Ram 1500 models online.
