2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Gets Power Boost and Big Price Cut
The 2019 Dodge Challenger lineup is set to go through about as healthy a refresh as possible without it being a complete redesign. Some of the changes include new appearances, more power, additional performance upgrades, and, most of all, a new line of Hellcat models that includes the Demon-powered Redeye model.
Now, with the launch of the 2019 Dodge Challenger nearing, FCA has unveiled the pricing details on this updated lineup.
At the bottom end of the lineup will be the 2019 Challenger SXT RWD, which will start from $27,295. Moving into the Challenger GT will push the MSRP to $29,995. Adding all-wheel drive will bump both prices up by $3,000.
Want a HEMI V-8? Then the 2019 Challenger R/T is where to start, and it will base from $34,100. Jumping into the R/T Scat Pack model will push the MSRP up to $38,995 and bring in the first instance of a $1,000 gas-guzzler tax, but only with the manual transmission.
For those who want the big daddies, AKA the SRT Hellcat models, the base 2019 Challenger SRT Hellcat will start from $58,650, a $5,000 price cut relative to the 2018 model, plus a $1,700 gas-guzzler tax. Finally, the all-new demon-powered SRT Hellcat Redeye model will start from $69,650 plus a $1,700 gas-guzzler tax.
On top of all these prices will also be a $1,395 destination fee.
