The Ram 1500 Rebel Brings Luxury and Tech Off the Beaten Path

By Justin Cupler | October 22nd, 2018

Ram has not offered a more off-road-focused version of its legendary 1500 pickup than the 1500 Rebel. Released in 2015, the Ram 1500 Rebel is plenty rugged, but even we can admit it lacks the refinement some of the brand’s more premium pickups offer. To solve this puzzle Ram has introduced the well-equipped 2019 Ram 1500 Rebel 12.

Ram will base the 1500 Rebel 12 on the standard Rebel model, which is your typical four-wheel-drive Ram 1500 with a 1-inch lift kit, 33-inch off-road rubber, skid plates, tow hooks, and more. But the 2019 Rebel 12 will add premium goodies to spice things up. These goodies include a Uconnect 4C infotainment system with navigation and a 12-inch customizable touchscreen. This system also includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a split-screen option for multitasking.

This infotainment system will connect to a 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system with a 900-watt amplifier, a 10-inch subwoofer, and active noise cancelation.

Rounding out the upgrades included with the 2019 Ram 1500 Rebel 12 are leather-trimmed seats with heat and anodized-finish Radar Red speaker covers.

Buyers can get the Rebel 12 package in any 2019 Ram 1500 Rebel configuration. It will start from $46,990, plus $1,695 destination fee. It will be available in the fourth quarter of 2018.
