Heavy Duty Longhorn Ram Rodeo Delivers Trail- and Trailer-Ready Refinement
The Ram 1500 Longhorn has won many awards for its combination of utility and refinement, including being the back-to-back Texas Auto Writers Association Luxury Pickup Truck of Texas. Now the heavy-duty Ram 2500 and 3500 models are getting a Longhorn Ram Rodeo edition to spice things up.
Inside, the Ram Heavy Duty Longhorn Ram Rodeo turns this work-ready pickup into a luxury rig with its suede headliner and contrasting color themes, like the Black-and-Cattle-Tan scheme.
The exterior also features plenty of upgrades. They include body-colored bumpers and side steps, a “LONGHORN” badge on the tailgate, 20-inch aluminum wheels with optional painted pockets on single-rear-wheel models, 17-inch polished-aluminum wheels on dual-rear-wheel 3500 models, a Mopar bed step, and skid plates.
Towing is also a big factor, and the Ram Heavy Duty Longhorn Ram Rodeo does that with ease thanks to its standard fifth-wheel/gooseneck trailer-prep package and bed-view camera. Rear air suspension chips in to level things out when you have a heavy trailer or big load in the bed.
The Ram Heavy Duty Longhorn Ram Rodeo is available in Crew or Mega Cab and with two-or four-wheel drive. Engine options include the standard 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 or optional 6.7-liter Cummins turbo-diesel six-cylinder.
