Chrysler Revives the Voyager Nameplate for 2020

By Justin Cupler | June 28th, 2019

In 2017, Chrysler resurrected the Pacifica nameplate and attached it to a critically acclaimed minivan. In 2020, Chrysler will split the Pacifica lineup in two and resurrect the Voyager nameplate for the newly formed budget-focused line of minivans.

Chrysler will drop the L and LX trims from the 2020 Pacifica lineup and move them to the Voyager lineup. It will also introduce a new LXi trim for fleet customers interested in the Voyager.

On the outside, the 2020 Chrysler Voyager boasts the same basic looks as the Pacifica, except for its “Voyager” badging. Inside, the only updates are standard satellite radio, second-row quad seats, and in-floor storage bins in the LX trim.

The base 2020 Chrysler Voyager L will boast a wide range of standard features, including a 3.5-inch digital information display, the Uconnect 4 infotainment system, a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a six-speaker audio system, and active noise cancellation. Optionally, buyers can add Stow ‘n Place roof rack, the SafetyTec Group, and the Cold Weather Group Package on the L trim. The LX trim will have an available single overhead DVD system.

Fleet customers who go with the LXi trim will get leatherette seating, Stow ‘n Go seating, remote ignition, an alarm, Stow ‘n Pack roof rack, a universal garage door opener, retractable second-row sunshades, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

Under its hood, the 2020 Chrysler Voyager will retain the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine that delivers 287 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. This engine will pair with a nine-speed automatic transmission that ships power to the front wheels.

We don’t have an official date for when the 2020 Voyager will hit the Garber Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram showroom in Saginaw, so keep an eye on our online inventory page to be the first to know when it arrives. If you need a van today to handle your daily commute to Bay City, Midland, or Freeland, we have plenty of in-stock 2019 Pacifica models to pick from.
