The Dodge Charger has long been a unicorn in the family sedan segment, offering roomy four-door models that range from relatively timid family haulers to wild performance machines. Things have only gotten wilder since, and the new 2020 Dodge Charger resets the bar for family sedan wildness with the SRT Hellcat Widebody. With its official arrival here at Garber Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram serving the Saginaw, Frankenmuth, Midland, Bay City, and the surrounding areas coming soon, Dodge has released the 2020 Charger’s official pricing.
The Charger SXT will start the entire lineup with its 292-horsepower 3.6-liter V-6 engine and rear-wheel drive. Despite its relatively low base price of $29,895, the SXT includes a nice assortment of standard features, including a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter knob, a six-speaker audio system, SiriusXM, a 7-inch touchscreen, Android Auto, Apple Car Play, and more. Opt for the SXT AWD model for $33,595 and get the added traction of all-wheel drive plus a performance steering wheel, paddle shifters, an Alpine audio system, 8.4-inch touchscreen, an eight-way power driver’s seat, and more.
The Charger GT starts from $31,895 and builds upon the SXT with a 300-horsepower 3.6-liter V-6 engine and a sportier look with its performance hood, fascia, side sills, spoiler, and seats. It also adds a performance suspension system, paddle shifters, and performance brakes. Rounding out its enhancements over the SXT are 20-inch Black Noise wheels, a flat-bottom steering wheel, an 8.4-inch touchscreen, and Dodge Performance Pages.
Buyers looking for more performance to match the GT model’s looks will love the $36,395 Charger R/T. Building on the sporty-looking GT, the 2020 Dodge Charger R/T adds a 370-horsepower 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine, 20-inch Satin Carbon wheels, active dual-exhaust system, and more.
Is the 370-horsepower HEMI engine not quite enough for you? That’s where the $39,995 2020 Dodge Charger Scat Pack comes in with its 392-cubic-inch HEMI V-8 engine that pounds out 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque. The SRT Scat Pack also adds four-piston Brembo four-piston calipers, launch assist, launch control, line lock, a high-performance suspension system, an exclusive grille, a matte-black rear spoiler, 20-by-9-inch low-gloss-granite wheels, SRT Performance Pages, SRT configurable drive modes, two-driver memory system, a heated steering wheel, and more.
Buyers seeking enhanced cornering for the twisties in the Saginaw area can opt for the Scat Pack Widebody, which runs $45,995 and includes fender flares that add 3.5 inches of width to the body, 20-by-11-inch Devil’s Rim wheels, updated three-mode Bilstein shocks, selectable steering modes, 3-mm-thicker sway bars, 27% percent stiffer front springs, and more.
For buyers seeking insane levels of performance, there is the $69,645 Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody that builds on the Scat Pack Widebody with a 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 that pumps out 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, which equates to a 3.6-second 0-to-60 time and a 196-mph top speed. It also boasts 20-by-11-inch Carbon Black wheels, electric power steering, a new mail-slot grille, and more.
Topping the range is the 2020 Dodge Charger Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition, which runs $74,140. This performance sedan is based on the SRT Hellcat Widebody model but pushes the supercharged HEMI engine to 717 horsepower and adds special touches like “Daytona” decals. This rig will take special care to procure, as Dodge will limit its production to just 501 units – just like the original Dodge Daytona.
